My floor in the garage/workshop got finished last week and I’ve moved a little bit of stuff out of the attached garage and into the shop. Mrs. Shoe Pilot is very interested in what ELSE might be able to move this weekend.
Tonight, I put a car up in the air and actually DID something to it. My Veloster got a badly needed oil change, 500 miles past the recommended interval. I got the whole thing done in 20 minutes, including getting the car up onto the lift from an awkward angle because I was too lazy to move the Clown Shoe further up the driveway to give myself a straight shot.
Next major purchase for the shop is a big stonking air compressor. Next minor purchase is one of those 20 gallon under-lift oil receptacles on wheels.

Not the Veloster obviously. However, it IS my lift.

So it’s YOU who’s been the inspiration of the criminal clown thing!

You’re living the dream!

Having a car lift is a dream of mine. No more laying in piles of kitty litter to soak up the oil.

I still had to clean up a little oil. When I pulled the filter, there was some splash. Luckily, the new floor is porcelain tile and oil doesn’t soak in.
This will not be a problem on the Clown Shoe, because BMW put the filter on top.
